NYC Craft Beer Festival – Watermark Bar
By: Michael Schafer
75 breweries, 150+ beers, ciders & meads, all at a beautiful setting in downtown Manhattan. We had some excellent brews at the Watermark Bar, but here were the three standouts:
Sliced Nectarine IPA from Moody Tongue Brewery
One of the best aromas you could ask for out of a glass. Crisp and refreshing, with a true taste of nectarines. Not an over-hopped IPA, but still a really solid beer with a strong citrus character.
Valencia Gold from Almanac Beer Co.
A wonderful, Belgian-style summer brew with bright citrus notes. Brewed with California’s own Valencia oranges, this imperial ale will be your go-to summer brew.
Revolution Red Rye from Gun Hill Brewing Co
Great session beer that packs a nice mouthful of simple, yet complex flavors. This beer was the only one I could even imagine dreaming more than a bottle of. Loved the toasted barley/malt flavor!
